Baguio Jane's Walk - We Walk: Uphill, Downhill, and In Between

𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 (𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁, 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲) – 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗪𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸: 𝗨𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹, 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻) 𝗯𝘆 𝗖𝗣𝗗𝗦𝗢 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗟𝗔𝗧 - Baguio Youth Innovation Hub

Last May 27–28, 2025, locals of various ages and backgrounds joined us in walking the slopes of Baguio for this year’s Jane's Walk — a global celebration of community, connection, and urban discovery inspired by Jane Jacobs held every May.

𝗪𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽, 𝘄𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆.

This walk is part of a growing effort to advocate for sustainable urban mobility and push for pedestrian-focused projects that are grounded in real, lived experiences.
