About SIGLAT
The SIGLAT - Baguio Youth Innovation Hub is a safe and inclusive space to improve young people’s safety and well-being in urban environments and involve young people in ideating and implementing innovative solutions for tackling safety challenges. This initiative is a collaborative effort with the Safe and Sound Cities (S²Cities) program, led by the Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB) in partnership with ICLEI. It is hosted by the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation and receives support from the Fondation Botnar.

The SIGLAT Youth Innovation Hub logo represents innovation, collaboration, and sustainability. Its central design resembles a house, symbolizing a safe and nurturing space where ideas and communities can grow, while the gradient of orange, red, yellow, and deep blue conveys energy, creativity, and transformation. The stylized “SIGLAT” lettering, with its bold lines and structure, reflects connectivity, progress, and forward movement. On the side, the acronym is defined as Synergize Innovation and Gravitate Leadership towards Adaptive Technologies, which emphasizes the hub’s core values of collaboration, creativity, leadership, and technology. The logo also highlights SIGLAT’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)—underscoring its commitment to building sustainable, innovative, and community-centered development. Overall, the logo communicates that SIGLAT is not just a hub, but a movement that empowers young innovators to co-create solutions that strengthen industries, improve cities, and build meaningful partnerships for the future.
